PROPRIETOR

An ex B.A. stewardess, P.E. teacher and now a life coach, Carol’s main role is ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained. She is responsible for all staff training and ensures that Greens motto of ‘nothing is too much trouble’ is upheld.

HEAD CHEF

Rob Armstrong, is responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen. His menus are innovative yet traditional. He is a master producing classic dishes with a modern twist. All his dishes use fresh ingredients, locally sourced when possible. Classically trained, he believes that good food is worth waiting for and customer comments certainly confirm this.

RELIEF MANAGER

Debbie Towlson, is an invaluable asset to Greens. Although only part time she is capable in every department. She trained originally as a chef but also has vast experience in front of house and management skills. With her flexible approach she is on hand to take over the smooth running of the business allowing Frank & Carol to take well earned holidays with peace of mind.

CLEANING OFFICER

Marilyn Texel, has been employed at Greens since 1986. Her duties include maintaining a spotlessly clean premises, which she does with great pride. She has never been late once and deserves a medal for her commitment and professionalism.

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Nikki Dyer joined Greens in Nov 07 . She brings with her a wealth of experience in hospitality. In her earlier career as a professional dancer Nikki starred in Cats and We will rock you. She is a perfectionist and true professional . Popular with colleagues and customers alike she brings infectious energy and enthusiasm to Greens whilst commiting to excellent customer service.

WAITER

Mitchell Jones joined us in 2007. He is studying for A levels at college.Mitch is well known for his immaculate manners. His forte is making sure his customers special requests are always fulfilled. His ultimate career goal is to become a lawyer. As he has a ready answer for most questions he is bound to do well  in his chosen field! In his spare time Mitch is a qualified deep sea diver.( Underwater is probably the only time he stops talking).

PROPRIETOR

Frank Duckworth’s main responsibility is the smooth running of the bar & cellar. He is renowned for making people feel welcome at the bar. He is also responsible for the administration and payroll systems.

SECOND CHEF

Ben Long, more than capable of stepping into the head chef’s shoes as needed. A great team player with a zany sense of humour, he is the ‘Peter Pan’ of the workforce.

HEAD BAR/WAITER

Simon Martin, an absolute professional in hospitality. Simon has a wealth of experience gained working in U.K. France and French Guyana. He is a great team player who is able to multi task and switch roles according to business needs. His priority is always the customer.

SENIOR WAITRESS

Jackie Estell, has worked at Greens since 1991. Well known by many regular customers for her consistent service with a smile. Jackie quietly organises the restaurant & bar for efficient service each lunchtime.

 

WAITER

James Parker has worked at Greens since Aug 07. He is currently studying an access course before embarking on a degree in Physcology in Sept 08. James is an efficient and reliable member of the team. His quiet unassuming manner conceals hidden talents, particularly for his chosen hobby of "tricking"( a cross between break dancing & martial arts)!

KITCHEN PORTER

Toni Melsome, a faithful employee since 1997. Toni is a very willing worker, helping mainly in the kitchen , she is a versatile member of staff who will have a go at any task given. She is well known for her generosity to others, often supplying the chefs with mars bars and the like.

 

WAITER

 

Will Coles, following in his sister Emilys footsteps, a local Wickham lad, he has worked at Greens since 2006.He is studying for A levels at college and works part time in the restaurant.He is hardworking and reliable, a valuable member of the team .
